We're Woodcraft of Iowa City and we're a local lumber and hardware store here in Iowa City, IA. We cater to everyone from beginners to experts, offering sharpening tools, table saws, and shop layout consultation. Our Story

Eric Casteel opened Woodcraft of Iowa City in 2022. After doing plenty of DIY projects at home from bookcases to tables, Eric recognized a need in his community for specialty woodworking with affordable costs. With a passion for his work, he opened a specialty woodworking tool and products store that caters to everyone, from beginners to experts. In just a short time after opening, Eric has grown his business into a leading specialty hardware store in Iowa City and surrounding areas.

As a locally owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on hard work and are dedicate to excellent customer service. By locally sourcing lumber from the Midwest, we support our communities and provide the highest quality materials for our customers.
